Here’s the real deal.  Mac os VS Windows . A big-time debate in the history of mankind. Let me break this down for students - yes the Architecture students, obviously! So the storyline is since we all use software from our third year onwards, there comes a need for a laptop even if your college has a computer lab. Then comes our biggest question. Mac OS or Windows. Well, both these got their merits and demerits. The price difference cannot be considered a factor because you need to invest maybe even higher to get a powerful laptop. Both these are gonna burn a hole in your pocket. The mac user interface is smooth and the applications run well. But the number of supported applications is less compared to that which is offered by the windows counterpart.  Lumion, 3DSMax, and Revit are the leading software which mac os doesn’t support and it is quite disappointing. Yes indeed, why would I want to choose something else to review first, when I'm an architecture student. Architecture is one among the Professional degrees often titled as B.Arch (5-year course ) and it is not engineering against all the misconceptions. An immense field of study where learning never ends. An exclusive area worth experimentation and research. In this developing scenario, this field is challenging and offers tough competition. With more than 300 college spread across India, one has to be really careful about choosing the college, as this field of study is purely experiential. The institution should be approved under CoA- Council of Architecture. This field of study requires high level of passion and creativity.
